MMB_Shift makes the middle button - on a three-button mouse - act as if it
was a SHIFT-key. This means that it will be very easy to select multiple
icons on the workbench or multiple files in a file-requester without having
to press a SHIFT-key. Just select the first item with the left mousebutton
(LMB), then press the middle mouse-button (MMB) and hold it. Now you can
select more item the usual way just as if you were using a normal SHIFT-key.
MMB_Shift is a Commodity, thus it can be controlled with Commodore's Exchange
program. MMB_Shift does not detach from CLI, use "Run >nil: MMB_Shift" in
your "User-Startup" file.
MMB_Shift understands one tooltype/shell-option: CX_PRIORITY=<number>, this
sets the priority of this commodity if you want that MMB_Shift gets its input
events before (high prio) or after (low prio) other commodities. Priority is
from -128 to 127.
To quit MMB_Shift use Exchange, send a break signal (^C) or just start
MMB_Shift again.
